iPhone 14 to Vietnam will lack goods

Surveys from retailers in the Vietnamese market show that the number of registrations to receive information about iPhone 14 has reached more than 18,000 times. However, the first batch is most likely not meeting demand.

Currently, many authorized Apple dealers in Vietnam have confirmed that genuine products will be officially opened for sale on October 14.

A week before, agents will also accept pre-orders. As of the morning of September 30, there were more than 180,000 registrations to receive information about iPhone 14 announced on the website by Mobile World , FPT Shop, Mobile Viet , CellphoneS ....

If the calculation is based on the number of 180,000 registrations, minus the non-purchase rate and other errors, the first iPhone 14 sales may be around VND 4,000 billion.

However, retailers also believe that the first batch of iPhone 14 to Vietnam will not meet all of the above registration needs.

- Apple's last minute changes

The iPhone 14 model with a 6.7-inch screen was originally named iPhone 14 Max, but Apple changed it to iPhone 14 Plus shortly before its launch.

On Apple's support website called "Indentify your iPhone model", which helps users identify the iPhone model they are using based on the model name and model, an image of the iPhone 14 Plus in 5 colors is named "iPhone-14-" Max-Colors".

Next, on the updated certificate information page for each product, Apple clearly states the name "iPhone 14 Max" for the device number A2886, next to the remaining 3 models including iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max.

Currently, the name "iPhone 14 Max" still appears in the image file describing the iPhone 14 Plus model, and the certification document has been modified to iPhone 14 Plus.

That shows that Apple used to name iPhone 14 Max for the standard iPhone 14 model with a 6.7-inch screen, but decided to change it to iPhone 14 Plus at the last minute.

Months before the launch of the iPhone 14 series, most rumors suggested that the standard 6.7-inch model would be called iPhone 14 Max. However, up to a week before the September 7 event, many rumors revealed a device called iPhone 14 Plus.

This is the first time Apple has reused the word "Plus" for an iPhone version since the iPhone 8 Plus was released in 2017.
